Bio:
Amin Adibi works at the intersection of biostatistics, machine learning, and respiratory medicine, with a focus on ensuring equitable healthcare outcomes. As a research scientist at Legacy for Airway Health, a doctoral candidate in UBC Respiratory Evaluation Sciences Program, and a UBC Public Scholar, he investigates algorithmic fairness and potential biases in clinical prediction models for respiratory diseases. He has previously authored high-impact publications on the validation and utility testing of clinical prediction models, prediction of acute COPD exacerbations, and the burden of uncontrolled asthma.
