Ridhwanlai is a 2023 Loran Scholar pursuing a B.Sc. in Cognitive Systems, specializing in Brain and Cognition. He founded Wake Up Mental Health, a youth-led initiative dedicated to destigmatizing mental illness through storytelling. He spent a summer at MIT's Media Lab, exploring equitable approaches to computer science education, and another at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), researching global digital health and AI governance frameworks to identify opportunities for impact across Canada's healthcare system.
Most recently, Ridhwanlai served as a Director with the Paragon Policy Fellowship, connecting students with government partners to co-develop tech policy briefs. He's currently building an AI hackathon that empowers students to leverage technology to address real-world challenges within their communities. Outside of work, Ridhwanlai enjoys tutoring kids to code, playing basketball with friends, immersing himself in books, or experimenting with poetry at open mics. He strives to live each day with passion, purpose, and curiosity.
