As Director, Research Ethics at the University of BC’s Office of Research Ethics, Laurel Evans is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Program for Human Research Participant Protections at the University. The Director is responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring the Program for Human Research Participant Protections at the University. The position is responsible for ensuring that ethics processes and polices at the University meet local, provincial, national and international requirements. 

Laurel holds a Bachelor of Laws degree (LL.B.) from Western University.
