The Data Science and Health (DASH) cluster represents two UBC campuses, five UBC faculties, 18 departments, centres, and existing clusters, four education programs, as well as external stakeholders from the BC Ministry of Health, provincial health authorities, and industry partners.

Leadership

DASH is led by Dr. Anita Palepu and co-led by Dr. Teresa Tsang, with strategic oversight from our Steering Committee.

Dr. Anita Palepu

Dr. Anita Palepu is Head of the Department of Medicine and Professor in the Division of General Internal Medicine at UBC. She is the Physician Program Director for the St. Paul’s Hospital Medicine Program and works as a General Internist.

Dr. Teresa Tsang

Dr. Teresa Tsang is a cardiologist, Director of Echocardiography at Vancouver General Hospital and UBC Hospital, Professor of Medicine, and Associate Head of Research for the Department of Medicine.
