Mishal Ashraf MASc

Senior Bioinformatics Specialist, BlueRock Therapeutics

I am a Bioinformatician and Biomedical Engineer interested in leveraging software and mathematics to accelerate scientific progress. I have experience using techniques in machine learning, statistics, image processing and signal processing in Python and MATLAB. I have worked with a variety of datasets including transcriptomics (scRNAseq, bulkRNAseq) and imaging (histopathology, fluorescence microscopy). 

Prior to my time in industry I completed both an MASc and BSc and worked on academic research projects at the intersection of software, hardware, lab automation and data analysis. I have experience contributing to projects across many biological domains including cardiology, neurology and immunology, including as a co-author of 7 peer reviewed manuscripts.
