Dr. Ali Zaidi PhD
Data Scientist - Machine Learning
Faculty of Medicine
With a background in systems neuroscience and machine learning, I’m interested in using computational models to study biological systems. I did my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Tuebingen and the Max Planck Institute for Biological Cybernetics in Tübingen (Germany), working on both basic and translational research. I studied neuro-vascular coupling in human and non-human primates, and developed novel algorithms for studying and manipulating brain dynamics in real-time. At the Kwon lab, I work on developing novel sensors and computational models for studying spinal cord injury.
