Dr. Gondara is a machine learning researcher, currently serving as Head of AI R&D at Vanguard. His research interests include privacy-preserving machine learning/deep learning, applications of large language models to healthcare and resource constrained domains, multimodal machine learning, decentralized machine learning, and (bio)statistics. He also holds an Adjunct Professor position at the School of Population and Public Health, UBC.
