UBC’s Data Science and Health Research cluster (DASH) is pleased to invite you to its official launch and a demonstration of the pilot metadata platform under development.
Save the Date! June 22, 2021 | 4pm - 5pm (PST)
DASH cluster lead, Dr. Anita Palepu, will frame the session and provide an overview of the DASH cluster. DASH was funded by VPRI this year to focus on overcoming current health data access hurdles and support UBC researchers applying data science to health data at scale. The cluster is working on 4 objectives: cataloging data assets, streamlining data access, optimizing data analytics capacity, and building data literacy.
This demo will focus on work underway to develop a pilot metadata commons at UBC, provide a project review and update, followed by a facilitated discussion from project lead, Dr. Kim McGrail. The discussion seeks to inform and guide further developments and refinements of the metadata platform.
We are seeking your input and perspective as a potential user and contributor to guide platform functionality and improve user experience.
